Chris
Brade (Brah-dee) is a high energy, dynamic, crowd pleasing
singer/songwriter from Giddings, Texas. Chris has had this dream
since the age of 8, when his parents gave him his first guitar,
and has not stopped yet! Though his greatest encouragement has
been from the love and support of a musical family, he draws
inspiration from such artists as Hank Williams, Merle Haggard,
George Jones and Farron Young. Chris began writing his own music
at a very early age, which has allowed him to create a style that
is all his own. He has played publicly at dancehalls, clubs,
casinos and fairs for the past 15 years, perfecting his unique on
stage presence. Chris has a matchless way of bringing the crowd
onto the stage with him in each and every song. Crowd response is
huge and he is well known for joining the fans to meet and greet
and takes the opportunity to see that the everyone is enjoying
themselves. He enjoys visiting with those that come to his shows,
making it a more personal experience for the fans. When not on
stage Chris resides in Houston, Texas with his wife and Manager,
Dawn, and two daughters. Chris also gives his time as a Staff
Sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserve as a B-52 Weapons
Instructor. The Air Force has been very supportive of Chris and
his music, for the past 8 years and have allowed him to pursue his
dream as a country artist. In the past two years he has released
two albums, and two singles, and describes his music as “true to
the heart”, something that most everyone can relate to. Chris
has opened shows for such artists as John Conley, Roger Creager,
Aaron Watson, Reckless Kelly, Deryl Dodd and Zona Jones. He and
his band have also donated many hours to charitable events
benefiting MS, Cancer Research and National Disaster Recovery
Efforts. Though Chris’s talent has taken him many places, his
heart is in Texas. He won the 2005 “Horizon Award” at the 28th
Annual Terry Awards in Fort Worth, Texas. This award, created in
1977 by Terry Beene, recognizes outstanding Texas artists in
multiple categories. Previous award recipients have included Ty
Herndon, Lonestar, Gary P. Nunn and Aaron Watson. Chris’s hope
is to make the next year his breakout year. He has left full time
active duty in the Air Force to give it his all and, so far,
things look promising. Chris will agree that this life is not for
everyone, but when “it’s in your blood, it’s in your
soul”. Chris truly has what it takes to make this dream a
reality. |
